Chimwemwe in China.

Chimwemwe is one of our eldest graduate boys. He has been studying abroad in China since September 2018. Here are some words from him:

Dreams, goals and plans come especially with the help from the people who love you and care about others.

My name is Chimwemwe M’tonga and I am a child of Mercy Touch and a grateful child of God. After being taken in at the age of 6, I owe my entire life, future career and every success to Mercy Touch. When I was taken in I started primary school at Perseverance Primary School in Ndola. Upon completion, I later went to secondary school at Grace Academy in Ndola.

My desire for education and the realization of its importance has guided me to always improve my knowledge. I completed high school at Nkumbi International school in Mkushi, Central Province and later went on to obtain my Mechanical Engineering certificate at Northern Technical College. This was all thanks to Mercy Touch, all the sponsors and the well-wishers. I remain forever indebted to my parents, guardians, brothers and sisters - but above all to God for opening the doors of Mercy Touch.

I am currently in China studying a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at Zhejiang University of Agriculture and Forest. My time so far in China has brought a lot of exposure and has enlightened me. My goals and plans at the moment are to obtain good results, inspire my brothers and sisters, and return the kind gesture to Mercy Touch.

Thank you so much for this opportunity to study in China. I have settled in well and have participated in athletics in my university. I have also known Jesus Christ through Mercy Touch.

Thank you to all my supporters and I guarantee that your efforts are not in vain.

Thanks for everything. Thanks for your love and Support. I have no idea where I would have been without your love and kindness.

May the Good Lord bless you all & I love you all.
